Hardin-SimmonsHardin-Simmons used a goal from tournament MVP David Salas to cap a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Mississippi College on Sunday afternoon in Kerrville, Texas, that gave the Cowboys their second straight ASC Men's Soccer Title. With the victory, HSU received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III national tournament.

Oct 25 -- Texas-Tyler Is Men’s Soccer Regular Season Champion for Second Straight Season
The Texas-Tyler men’s soccer team beat East Texas Baptist 2-0 on Saturday night, wrapping up their second straight American Southwest Conference regular season championship. Head coach Kenny Jones’ Patriots have won the title for the second straight season. Texas-Tyler was picked to repeat as champions in the conference preseason polls.

Aug 21 - Texas-Tyler Picked to Repeat as Men's Soccer Season Champions
University of Texas at Tyler has been picked to repeat its 2005 American Southwest Conference Season Championship after a vote of the league's 14 head coaches and sports information directors. Texas-Tyler, which went 14-4-1 overall and 10-2-1 in ASC play last season, pulled in 380 points with 21 first-place votes. The Patriots got the top nod over 2005 ASC Tournament Champion Hardin-Simmons, which totaled 343 points and four first-place votes.

David SalasHardin-Simmons University's David Salas and East Texas Baptist University's Aaron Erickson, a pair of senior forwards with enriched resumes, shared the honor of American Southwest Conference Men's Soccer Preseason Offensive Player of the Year after a vote of the league's 14 head coaches and sports information directors. Schreiner sophomore goalkeeper Nick Morrison was tabbed as Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
