Four Teams to Irving for ASC Softball Championship
April 26, 2003

Four teams – East Texas Baptist, Mary Hardin-Baylor, University of Texas at Dallas and Schreiner – converge on Irving, Texas, and Southwest Park Friday and Saturday (May 2-3) for the 2003 ASC Softball Championship Tournament. Friday’s first-round games pits defending tournament champion and No. 17-ranked ETBU (25-11) against West runner-up Schreiner (16-15) and two-time West Division champ UMHB (20-12) against UT Dallas (19-15).

Friday games are scheduled at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday’s semifinal is scheduled at 11 a.m. followed by the championship game at 1 p.m. The winner advances to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

Daily tickets for the ASC Softball Championship Tournament are $5 for adults and $2 for students, and will be available at the gate.

The ASC Tournament champion earns the ASC's automatic bid to NCAA-III Softball Championship.

Gm. 4: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 3 p.m.

Gm. 5: Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4, 11 a.m.
Gm. 6: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5, 1 p.m.
Gm. 7 (If necessary): Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 6, 3 p.m.
