ABILENE, Texas – First round opponents have been named for the three Hardin-Simmons teams that have advanced to NCAA Division III national tournaments.

The women's soccer team (17-0-3) will hit the road to Tacoma, Wash., for a sectional. The Cowgirls will play host Puget Sound (15-1-3) in the first round. The two teams faced off in the Sweet 16 two years ago in Tacoma. Trinity (Texas) and Williamette (Ore.) are the other two teams in the sectional. Game times will be determined later Monday.

The men's soccer team and volleyball teams will both travel to Trinity (Texas).

The men’s soccer team (14-5-1) will play Trinity (18-0-1) on Saturday at a time to be determined. The Cowboys lost to Trinity 3-2 in the first round last year in San Antonio. Trinity defeated the Cowboys 5-2 in the first game of this season.

The volleyball team (19-14) will play old conference foe Austin College (33-7) at Trinity in the first round on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Emory, Trinity, Southwestern and Averett are also in the six-team regional tournament.
