Players-of-the-Week
East Division West Division

Ashley Diaz, So., Mississippi College

Casey Morgan, Fr., Howard Payne University

Mississippi College sophomore Ashley Diaz (Maben, Miss.) went undefeated in three No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles matches last week, including key wins against ASC East rival UT Dallas (Mar. 27). In singles, Diaz opened the stretch with a tie-breaker win against region rival Millsaps, then recorded back-to-back straight set wins vs. Alcorn State's Fallon Davis and UT Dallas' Alexis McCubbin. Her points against UTD helped the Lady Choctaws move into first-place alone atop the ASC East standings.

Freshman Casey Morgan (Cleburne, Texas) was the hot player for Howard Payne, going undefeated in each of her three No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles matches in the Lady Jackets' busy ASC West weekend (Mar. 26-28). Morgan collected straight set singles wins against Schreiner, Sul Ross State and Mary Hardin-Baylor, giving up just five game points. After back-to-back 8-1 doubles victories vs. Schreiner and SRSU, Morgan and partner Cathleen Touisithphonexay came back to beat UMHB 9-8 (8-6).
